Dr. Shabez's approach to medicine is to help patients understand the incredibly complex set of interactive systems that make up the human body. Illnesses do not occur in isolation, affecting only one organ system. If one part of the body becomes dysfunctionalt there is a cascading effect throughout the body of dysfunciton. Understanding the relationships between each of the organ systems and how to bring balance to these dysfunctions is key to regaining optimal health. This needs to be done in a very systematic way. The current medical approach addresses one organ system at a time and ingnores the downstream effects on the rest of the body and what appears t be a long list of unrelated symptoms. Issues that especially responsive to this approach are: endocrine dysfunction (diabtetes and thyroid dysfunction), heart disease, gastrointestinal issues, weight loss, insomnia, neurological concerns, and immune system dysfunction. Dr. Shabez utilizes a variety of treatment modalities in an effort to find the optimal effective treatment plan that will help an individual bring balance to their body.
